Car Accidents / Motor Vehicle Accidents

Attorney John Williams represents personal injury and accident victims throughout the Valley including Phoenix, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Sun City, Scottsdale and Tempe. Motor vehicle accidents include car crashes, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents and pedestrian accidents.

We all know that driving in the Phoenix area can be very challenging, and well, very dangerous. We aren’t known for how slow we drive, that’s for sure. But with excessive speed, come accidents, especially when combined with inattention. In 2010 there were 106,177 car crashes in Arizona according to the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Report, Arizona Motor Vehicle Crash Facts 2010. Of the 106,177 car crashes, 33,195 involved injuries and 698 resulted in a fatality. However, I believe that the number of crashes involving injuries is likely much higher. Many people who are injured in a car crash, don’t experience symptoms at the scene and invariably tell the police that they aren’t injured. Also, I’m not sure that this figure accounts for car accidents where the police do not respond to the scene.

Dealing with the Insurance Company

In order to successfully navigate through a car accident claim, even a small one, is no easy task. The insurance company adjusters know all of the ins and outs of the claims process. They also know that you don’t know all of the ins and outs of the process. Regardless of their commercials, the little Gecko is not on your side and you are not in good hands. The adjuster’s one goal is simple – pay out as little as possible on each and every claim. Having previously worked as an insurance adjuster here in Phoenix, I know the ins and outs of the claims process and know how to work to maximize your recovery.

While not every person injured in a car or other motor vehicle accident needs a lawyer, it is in your best interests to speak with a lawyer to ensure that the insurance company does not take advantage of you. After an accident, the insurance company adjuster will call you and casually asked if it’s ok to take a recorded statement from you. Many injured victims are taken off guard and say yes. You should say NO! You don’t have to let them take a recorded statement and there is never anything in a recorded statement that will help you, only hurt you. They are trying to obtain information to use against you.

Insurance companies are not on your side, ever. Even if you are dealing with your own insurance company on a medical payments claim, uninsured motorist claim or underinsured motorist claim, their motivation and goal are the same, to pay you as little as possible.

Our law firm will take care of the insurance process for you, will never give up, and will make sure that the insurance company pays for all of the damage its driver caused you.
